Our Process

At Scottish Stained Glass, our goal is to make sure that each and every one of our clients has an outstanding experience. That’s why we start our process with an in-depth consultation at your home. Doing this gives us the ability to gain an understanding of your goals and preferences. It also allows us to make suggestions for the design and inspect the area in which you’d like your stained glass installed to identify any potential concerns that may arise. We’ll sit down with you and show you an extensive portfolio of our work and let you look at photographs and images that showcase the details of specific designs. Then, we’ll draft a series of sketches to get started on creating your design.

Once you’ve made your decision and we’ve finalized all details of the design, we’ll get started on the actual construction phase. Back at our studio, our team of expert artists and engineers will go to work planning and creating your stained glass window. First, we’ll hand pick all the pieces that will be used. These will be carefully lain into place and recorded using CAD software. The pieces are attached together using high quality leading and reinforced with black cement and support bars. Once everything has dried and set, we’ll return back to your home and have your stained glass installed for you to enjoy!
