Painted Glass Landscapes Beautify Holladay, Utah Home

There’s no denying the beautiful of Utah’s diverse natural landscape. In the mountains, the eye is greeted with lush fauna, babbling brooks, and pines and in the valley’s, unique rock formations attract tourists from around the world. That’s why when one homeowner relocated to a small town in Utah, he decided that the first addition he would make to his home would be one that would stand tribute to Utah’s landscape. So, he set out to have two painted glass landscapes created for his Holladay home. And the results of the project were stunning.

We met our client just as he was settling down in his new home. He had recently left the hustle and bustle of San Francisco to enjoy a quieter life and moved to a beautiful new home tucked in the foothills of Holladay, a small town located just outside of Salt Lake City. As an outdoor lover, he was excited for this transition and looked forward to the adventures that wait in store for him.

And, considering Utah’s abundance of natural beauty, who wouldn’t be excited to retire there? From rock climbing in Moab to the ski country in Park City, there’s something for every outdoor lover in Utah. So our client decided that he would celebrate his move and the beginning of a new chapter in his life by commemorating the moment in art. He contacted us and requested to have two painted glass panels created for the transom windows in his home.

Both of the painted glass panels were meant to pay tribute to Utah’s beautiful outdoor landscape. One features a scene that is iconic to Utah, and proudly displays a portrait of the Delicate Arch in Arches National Park. The other is a landscape of a ranch area in Park City and features a charming barn in the countryside. Both scenes are vastly different from each other, but equally as beautiful and true to the diversity of Utah’s landscape.

Painted glass was clearly the perfect medium for rendering these beautiful landscapes. And when the homeowner saw them, he was filled with immense gratitude and joy. For us, this project was a joy to work on. As always, we are proud to be Utah’s premier stained glass studio and always look forward to the opportunity to work with the residents of the beautiful state we get to call home.
