Dalle Glass is primarily fashioned from faceted glass, known for its unique ability to capture and refract light. Large pieces are cut from thick slabs of glass using a tile cutter or saw, then shaped and enhanced by chiseling the edges with a hammer to achieve a faceted look. The pieces are laid out in a pattern according to the artist’s vision on a flat bed of sand. Epoxy is poured between the glass pieces, forming an epoxy mortar when it contacts the sand, firmly cementing the glass in place. Additional sand is then used to fill the gaps, creating an aesthetic similar to tiled grout.
