From Scotland to Colorado: Our Story, Featured in The Denver Post

Thirty-five years after arriving from Scotland with nothing but a craft and a dream, Martin Faith's story — and Scottish Stained Glass's — was told in the pages of The Sunday Denver Post.

Scottish Stained Glass was recently featured in the Business section of The Sunday Denver Post, a recognition that captures more than three decades of craftsmanship, immigration, and artistry in Colorado. For founder Martin Faith, the feature is the latest milestone in a story that began with a one-way trip from Scotland to the United States in 1991.

A Local Legacy Recognized by The Denver Post

The Denver Post article, published July 19, 2026, tells the story of how Scottish Stained Glass restores history one piece at a time. Reporter Aldo Svaldi visited the Centennial studio to see firsthand how a small team of artisans creates and restores stained glass windows for churches, temples, museums, and private clients across the country.

From a One-Person Studio to a Colorado Institution

Martin Faith emigrated from Scotland to the United States in 1991, bringing with him a deep appreciation for traditional stained glass craftsmanship. In 1995, he founded Scottish Stained Glass as a one-person studio. Today, the company has grown into a team of 50 skilled artisans, incorporated in Delaware and headquartered in Colorado.

That growth hasn't slowed down. In 2021, Scottish Stained Glass secured an SBA 504 loan to purchase a 25,000-square-foot building, which now houses an expanding workshop and a dedicated art gallery space. Since then, the company has added 15 new jobs, with plans to create 50 more over the next five years.

Restoring History, One Window at a Time

Scottish Stained Glass has built its reputation on projects that blend historic preservation with fine art. Some of the studio's most notable work includes:

• Stained glass design and installation for the Fort Collins Temple
• Restoration work at the Mother Cabrini Shrine in Golden, Colorado
• Restoration of historic Tiffany windows at Greens Farm Church in Connecticut
• A collaboration with acclaimed artist Judy Chicago on a piece exhibited at the New Museum in New York and the Serpentine Gallery in London

Recognized Beyond Colorado

The Denver Post feature adds to a year of recognition for Scottish Stained Glass. In May 2026, Martin Faith was named Colorado's 2026 SBA Small Business Person of the Year, an honor he received in Washington, D.C. during National Small Business Week.

With current annual revenue around $5.7 million and projections reaching $10 million within three years, Scottish Stained Glass is proof that traditional craftsmanship and business growth aren't mutually exclusive.
